2021 - Wellington
Dear Colleagues,
Our ASA+COASTN Organising Committee have been closely monitoring the
situation in relation to COVID-19. Our primary concern is for the safety,
health and wellbeing of our participants, many who are already working on
the front line in our health systems around the world.
After consultation with conference partners, our members and colleagues,
the Committee has come to the decision to not proceed with the planned
ASA+COASTN Conference in Wellington, Monday, 30 August - Wednesday, 1
September 2021.
Many of you will be disappointed, as are we, however we look forward to
coming together face to face in 2022. We hope you share our excitement to
be in the company with friends and colleagues next year. We are
still considering locations for 2022 with an expectation the conference
will be held in Australia.
Given the extended hiatus imposed due to COVID-19, the Committee is keen
to explore other opportunities that enable our community to engage, share
knowledge and learn in the absence of a traditional conference. Options
being considered include the possibility of an abbreviated online
conference, or webinar series. We will continue to regularly update you
in this regard as planning progresses.
We will continue to hold a virtual AGM as planned in August 2021.
We also welcome any feedback or suggestions as to what our members would
like us to be assisting them with over the next year via -

Take care and stay safe,
