Australian Retrieval Services Survey - Menzies Institute
The project invites ASA members to participate in the project via a
60-minute interview.
The project aims to document the different characteristics of various
retrieval models in remote Australia, investigating how they are similar
and different from each other, with the aim of improving understanding of
how well different models work, and which remote Australian aeromedical
retrieval model characteristics are associated with optimal timeliness,
efficiency, and health outcomes for patients. This project also wants to
identify and reach agreement upon key indicators that could be used by
remote aeromedical retrieval services across Australia to monitor
performance and thereby drive quality improvement.
The project hopes that by working with a range of different retrieval
services and stakeholders, the learnings, for example about what works,
for whom and in what circumstances can be shared between organizations
thereby enabling further improvements to retrieval services. The project
will collect administrative data from retrieval services and
organizations, interview with people who have good understanding of the
retrieval services and systems, such as ASA members.
Please see attached formal invitation to participate and also relevant
